Top Ten Scary Games for Halloween
The leaves have changed and the nasty heat from this past summer has finally subsided, so that means that we are approaching Halloween. The time for copious amounts of candy, stomachaches and horror movie marathons on cable is nigh at hand. For those of us who want to get into the mood for this Halloween with some truly terrifying games, here are a few of my personal favorites:

 

The Thing
Based on the traumatizing film from John Carpenter (cut me some slack, I was five when I saw it), The Thing does a fine job of emulating the feeling of isolation in the original film and doesn’t fall into the same trappings as many licensed games.
Clive Barker's Undying
Psychological terror has been attempted by many games, but few have pulled it off as well as Undying. Dreamed up from the mind of horror maven Clive Barker, Undying is a Cthulu-esque horror game that ranks as one of the unsung heroes of the horror genre.
The Suffering
If prison weren’t scary enough, try taking on hellish demons like the unfortunate protagonist in The Suffering.
