Upon release, Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption was perceived by the gaming community as one of the top games of 2010. Since then, the title has produced several outstanding add-on packs, including arguably one of the best DLC packs ever, Undead Nightmare. Gamers who have yet to saddle up and take the shoes of John Marston, or folks who yet to check out all the add-on content, will be happy to know that a Game of the Year Edition of Red Dead Redemption has been announced and will be hitting store shelves this October 11.
The GOTY Edition will feature Red Dead's main campaign (a new "hardcore" mode will also be introduced) and multiplayer, Undead Nightmare's single player and multiplayer, Legends and Killers DLC, Liars and Cheats DLC, Hunting and Trading Outfits packs, Outlaws To The End Co-Op Mission Pack, Solomon's Folly single player gang hideout and challenges, and the newest DLC addition - Myths and Mavericks.
Rockstar also announced that if you pre-order the edition - currently exclusive to Xbox 360 and PS3 owners since no PC announcement was made - from select retailers you will receive a Deadly Assassin Outfit, a War Horse and a Golden Guns Weapon Pack. Pre-order details, including a retail list, were left out of the press release, but stay glued to the official website for more information.
For $49.99 the Red Dead Redemption GOTY Edition seems like a stellar deal. Any gamers out there who will be picking this up on October 11? Let us know by commenting below.
