Preview
For the franchise’s Xbox 360 and PS3 debut, EA Sports is going all out with their upcoming entry to their sports strategy title, NFL Head Coach 09. Rebuilding the experience from the ground up, the team has completely redone the franchise, adding in an improved user interface and more usability to allow for those unfamiliar with the Head Coach games to drop in and have a good time.
Additionally, the game has connectivity capabilities with Madden NFL 09, allowing players to create their own plays and import them to Madden. Coupled with these new features (as well as being packaged in with the Madden 09 Collector’s Edition) Head Coach 09 is shaping up to be the game that will give the series some mainstream success.
The interface will be all new in NFL Head Coach 09, allowing new players to come in and not be overly intimidated.
The game also allows you to build up your own playbook, creating your own plays and posting them online for others to check out, rate, and download if they want to. The coolest feature though is the ability to move custom plays over into Madden NFL 09, either by making them yourself within the game or downloading ones that other people have created with the game.
With a brand new easy to manage interface and connectivity features for Madden players, Head Coach 09 is turning out to be a great game for sports fans. The game is set to be released in August, packaged with Madden NFL 09: Collector’s Edition, and as a standalone retail game in September.
