SCEA today unveiled comprehensive line up the 2008 holiday season

We want to welcome you to the Movie Studio – the place where dreams are made of … though, only to be broken into smithereens in PAIN! Featuring the same creative, skill-driven comedic experience offered in past PAIN chapters, this third expansion continues to give players the unique opportunity to control and capture the irreverent style of humor found in slapstick movies and online video clips … just with a slightly stranger cinematic twist, starring “The Hoff” himself, David Hasselhoff, and the cast of Street Fighter -- Chun Li, Blanka, Ryu and Zangief.

The newest addition to the PAIN franchise, Movie Studio takes place in a remote movie lot featuring different sets resembling those from recent blockbuster hits. Sets include an epic Roman coliseum, a scene from WWII, a sinking luxury liner and a tiny Downtown location, complete with car chases, firing tanks, UFO’s, helicopters and a giant beaver. Movie Studio features eight modes of play (with one brand new mode), seven returning modes, new PlayStation trophies, and new launch positions that you can control.

PAIN: Movie Studio keeps the same core, unique PAIN mechanic which allows players to load characters into extreme launching devices. Players can receive points by stringing together PAINful collisions and inducing chaos in the environment. The player must achieve a wide variety of goals and/or reach various scoring milestones in each of the different modes of play. As challenging as it is funny, PAIN includes online leaderboards and has trophy support so you can see where you rank between your friends and throughout the world.
